Pros:$14Picks up most of my favorite FM stations.Antenna rotates and there is a kick stand. Sweet.SW works OK-ish.Fun to tune, in my opinion, but others may not like dial driven digital tuning interface.Nice size and old school design.Cons:Speaker sound is very tinny. I mean the Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz tinny!Have two of these and the packaging was yellowed plastic. New old stock? Not silver like shown in the picture, olive drab is what you will likely get. Not a big deal.Arrived in packaging that looked liked it was from the 70's. Maybe it is NOS. Nice compliment I think since I was trying to find one to give my son like I had when growing up. I was even more surprised to find it included a decent set of headphones. The weight and feel of it impressed me. It might be mostly plastic, which all radios are but it has quality about it. Speaker is in front, loud, and clear. All channels have been playing perfectly with no interference or static. (Amazingly clear channels) It has a digital tuner and the LCD screen is large and good sized. I haven't picked up anything on shortwave yet, but I am in an isolated location. I like that it has a button for the backlit LCD. No need to waste batteries to keep light on all the time. But if you can use the dc 3v jack with an a.c. adapter,(not included) you can save battery power. The buttons are big and were a bit stiff upon first use. It took me several attempts to get them functioning. Overall a great little radio and should bring you or your kids hours of fun. Since it doubles as an alarm clock, even better.Very nice little radio for the price. Seems very well built and solid for its size.I liked the fact that it took 2 AA batteries instead of having a permanent rechargeable battery. Sound is decent for the size of the speaker. Tuning can be a little difficult to get locked in, but at least with the digital display you can see if your close or not. I use the FM/AM frequencies mainly and cannot comment on the shortwave functions. Overall I am happy with it and thinking of buying a second oneNot a bad radio for the price. Hard to tune, no Auto Frequency Control so the frequency will vary, and travel up, and down several notches. Good Volume, and sound. Station selector slide could use better detents. Over all a fair radio for the price.Great sound and features that you wouldn't find on the old vintage pocket-size portable radios; however, the digital time readout numbers started fading within a few weeks of receiving it.Basically, it started falling apart and showing unmistakable signs of poor workmanship and inferior design. It worked fine for about a month and a half; before falling apart. Eventually I threw it in the trash.I can not in good conscience recommend buying this poorly made product.Tuning is awkward, just cannot get the alarm to work--a manual would have been a good idea--can't find one anywhereGood radio i get a bit of static but i move around until i find a good spot.. I like that has alarm and you can see the time or change it for view the channels.for the price, this little radio is nice- although the picture shows a silver color, mine came in metallic olive, which was really sweet.
