First - It works!My hyper fast, gulping, inhaler of food, super cuddle-bug pit-bull, now takes 5 minutes, and often longer, to eat the same amount of food, as he eats in 30 to 45 seconds, when eating from a standard dog bowl.Being made of ceramic, this product has thr right weight and heft, along with it's roughly 1" high profile, that my 100+ pound, Muscle beast, doesn't get to push his dish all around the kitchen chasing his food.Plus, because it is ceramic, it takes 2 minutes for me to wash it with simple soap and water, as soon as my Diohgie is dne eating.Additionally, the dark purple color of the glaze, makes it an extremely attractive addition to my home.Our 5-month-old Shih Tzu puppy went from snarfing her wet food down in less than 15 seconds, to it now taking her around 3-1/2 minutes to eat the same amount of food!At first, I thought this maze dish would be too big for her (I ordered small/medium), but it's really not. She is easily able to get her tongue down into all of the grooves.Nice, heavy, sturdy ceramic...too heavy for the puppy to move around. The nice glaze on the ceramic makes it very easy to clean.We did learn that it pays to take the time to smear the food around the maze...not just drop it down in clumps. Smearing it around causes the dog to take longer to get every last lick up. (I have not tested this dish in the microwave or dishwasher.)Very pleased with this product!Bought this for our collie girl. She will wolf down her food, just inhaling it at lightning speed.This has slowed her down a significant amount. It has great weight to it meaning it doesn't get pushed around. We put it on top of a rubber puppy eating mat we already had.This thing doesn't move at all with her trying to nose into it to get every bit. Since we feed her a set of chicken/wet food an it gets on the side she spends a long time trying to lick off the sides of all the little ridges.Love this dish for what it does and for how it looks! Absolutely worth it.I had a metal bowl, with a raised central portion that slowed my coonhound's eating, but not as slowly as I would like to help prevent bloat. This bowl slows eating to an ideal rate. My coonhound weighs 70 pounds and is fed three times a day, so the small size bowl can easily hold each meal. She has no trouble picking up the kibbles with her tongue. AAA+++I have a couple bulldogs who just inhale their food. I've tried a couple other "slow feeder" bowls, but every single one of them was too lightweight to stay in place while my dogs tried to get their kibble out of the bowl. The bowls would end up under the edge of the kitchen counters, or wedged under furniture, and I'd have to go rescue the bowl (and the frustrated dog). THESE BOWLS are heavy and do not budge during dinner time. I got the size large, even though one of my dogs is only 38 pounds, because she is a ferocious eater. Highly recommend these bowls.Really happy with this bowl, I was looking for a slow feeder that wasn't too deep and wasn't made out of plastic. This met all my expectations! I may buy another one but in a different color so my dog has multiple puzzles to work through!We got another new puppy and he would gobble his food down in 30 seconds. 10-15 minutes later he would throw up his food. This bowl is a MUST HAVE if you have any dog that just swallows their food! Awesome product that a friend told me about. It’s heavy ceramic and comes with 4 stick on rubber pads so it doesn’t slide around. Highly recommendHeavy enough to stop puppy tipping it up to eat as fast as possible, works at least now he eats rather than inhales his food! Tried a plastic one first which didn't work because he could pick it up and empty contents.This ceramic one is great only dropped a star because of the price.love this dish helps with the dogs feeding habits
