Good family friendly movie that has a positive ending and a good coming of age message. Thomas was on a slow path to destruction from a young age. Sadly, he had limited parenting from a single mother who was not home often and left him to his own devices including violent TV and video games. He had obvious anger and disrespect issues from the beginning and it was not hard to see how he devolved into drugs, alcohol, and anger control issues. After he meets Charlie, he really starts to turn things around. I love that the film actually showed a good bit of the positive Thomas and how he implemented the changes into his life to the point of even trying to help a friend. I also liked how Charlie shared his story and how he changed his ways after turning to God. I think we can all relate to Thomas at some point in our lives, but definitely teens and young adults will be able to see a positive message. The choices you make define you- that is a very true statement. Clean entertainment, highly recommend.
