Description
UK CD edition. For the very first time Jeff Wayne (later more famous of his legendary War Of The Worlds double LP in 1977) was commissioned to write all the music on this album. Naturally this makes this a very important release indeed - as it was the first time ever that Jeff Wayne was given a chance to put music into an album! Plus the fact that only 99 copies were ever made making this promotional only LP one of the all-time rarest UK LPs ever made!

Seller and deliver excellent - no problems there - the actual product:Radio Luxembourg/Jeff Wayne - The Magic Radio (1973)Part radio show, part advertising, part promotional tool, with precious little actual Jeff Wayne, but some nice clips of the big 208 as was. Only 99 were pressed on vinyl and given to advertisers and sales people. An interesting curio, no more no less. It’s an audio sales pamphlet - the little radio play at the beginning with Ray Brooks, James McManus and Patrick Allen is a fun diversion, the second half with vintage 208 clip nostalgic and includes short snippets of the hits of the day, but the actual Jeff Wayne content is probably the occasional jingle or sound stabs, and isn’t really a Jeff Wayne album. It’s ok, it’s a weird little disc, but it’s really for die hard collectors only and more for Radio Luxembourg fans only than War Of The Worlds fansFive stars for delivery1 star for product
