I really appreciated seeing the detailed history of a seminal movement to transform the food system globally. It reveals the evolution and diversity of people who worked with Petrini to make it all happen, not only in Italy, but across the globe. Movements seem to always have one great charismatic leader, but need many others who can transform that leader's visions into a concrete realities. It is joyous story of how these pleasure loving leftist Italians inspired many in the world. If I have a criticism it is that the film does put a bit too much credit on Carlo alone despite the evidence from the interviews and footage. And yet I see it is a love story about an unique and amazing man who will be remembered for the many actions and institutions he inspired.
