Basically, this is a full featured touch screen Android tablet mounted where the old car radio used to be. It looks spiffy and works perfectly in that capacity. You will need a 10mm socket wrench with an extender in order to remove the old radio, and you have to be careful to not lose the bolts as they come out, (I did just that, and now there's a big bolt lost somewhere down behind the dashboard.) The only other issues with mounting is that the instructions are sparse and you have to get creative if you want to install the included USB cable and GPS antenna unit. In the first case, I fed the USB cable through the dash board so that it squeezes through a crack in the mounting and comes out in the cubby hole just above the cigarette lighter. It works perfectly, allowing me to connect a thumb drive. The GPS antenna box I found a spot for under the right hand side mounting face, where it sits snug and reads satellite location data.I didn't even bother with the included backup camera; I may try installing that at some future point. All I really wanted was a music player with Bluetooth.Otherwise, the unit is well-built, with good fitting.Among the features that I like that unit reads data from the car. For instance, it It automatically drops the screen brightness at night so it doesn't blind you when driving in low light conditions, (you can set the brightness for both day and night at the same time, and it toggles between the settings automatically depending on whether or not your headlights are turned on.)However, while useful, the digital speedometer is a little slow to update, doing so every half second or so, failing to provide a smooth feedback. The Rav4's speakers are quite good, and this unit interfaces with them perfectly, with touch screen volume controls. Blue Tooth works as expected, so you can run a play list or hands free phone call from your smartphone. All in all, excellent value for the money.Recommended.
