Expensive for what it is. First one showed up DOA. also returned the 2nd. Wound up programming a TYT TH8600Convivence of Rugged Radios being preprogrammed is the only thing they have going for them. I don't think it was worth the money.Rugged just gets these radios, reprograms them, and puts their sticker on them. The th8600 is EXACTLY the same radio. Yes you will have to unlock it and program the channels yourself but it's half the price (or less). Figure it out.I have 2 RR devices. A handheld and the GMRS45. The instructions a so basic. This knob does this or that. There is very little to help with detailed menu help. I have had questions about the operation of my units, how to hit repeaters. I have called twice for help. The person answering the call didn't know the answers, told me there would be a tech call back-- didn't happen. 2 emails-- unanswered. Sent a request , via the website, for an instructional video on you tube with some helpful info. I guess its more important to have videos on the $ 100 000 sxs builds. The radios seem to be a good item.If you want a great lesson in how to over complicate a very simple thing, but this radio. The hand mic comes with a magnetic base plate that is supposed to adhere to your dash (or somewhere), but the adhesive isn’t strong enough to stick to the dash, so when you put the mic on the magnetic holder and then remove it, it pulls the base plate off with it. Why not just have a nice simple mount like every other CB and Radio thats ever existed? This is a text book example of “feature creep”. It creates a problem where there never was one. I had to epoxy the base to my dash to fix it. Definitely not impressed with the product. Reaching out to customer service was an absolute waste of time as well. No recommendations for other mounts or anything of the such. Just a “that’s the way it is” response a week or so after reaching out. Two thumbs waaaaay down. This company specializes is rebranding cheap Chinese radios and selling them for 2x to 5x the normal price. Steer clearSame radiohttps://www.amazon.com/TYT-TH-8600-Transceiver-Waterproof-Amateur/dp/B07F3WXL2V/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=GQ9XOA57OTQ3&keywords=waterproof+two+way+mobile+radio&qid=1642553310&sprefix=waterproof+two+way+mobile+radio%2Caps%2C83&sr=8-3This is nothing more then a cheap Chinese radio (TYT) garbage.
