I've recased many of my radios with VBLL products. Always good results.This XTS5000 kit is not for the faint of heart. You'll need razorblades and a heatgun to remove the PTT/Option buttons from the original chassis. The part that covers the buttons is also glued there. Since the kit came with another cover, I just ripped the orininal one out to access the button strip. Just a little heat and lifting with a razor blade will get that button strip out of there. The new top knobs are a super tight fit so I just used the originals.Also, pay attention to how the side accessory connector is assembled before taking it out.
