-----------This is an updated review.---------------I recently installed one of these stereos in my center console boat. This time I coupled it with a pair of 150w Pyle 6-1/2" speakers up front and a pair of 300w Kenwood 8" speakers in the back. All I can say is WOW!!! With these speakers, this stereo is amazing! Deep, bowel-shaking bass, clean midrange and crisp highs. I attribute much of the sound quality to the Kenwood speakers, but it's only because the head unit delivers the power. This setup rivals the 1000w stereo in my big boat as far as sound goes. I am truly amazed.------------end new review--------------------Installed this in a 21' deck boat I was planning to sell. Saw the 300W rating, and figured it was exaggerated, especially when I saw the unit. It looked thin and cheap, as the $39 price tag suggested. But I installed it anyway, tied in to (4) 150W Dual 6-1/2" coax speakers.Install was the standard DIN cage - fit in the existing hole easily. Took 10 mins. This WILL fit in a car, by the way. In fact, because it isn't too deep, it will probably fit where some others won't.When I turned on the radio and tuned in a station, I was surprised. Clear, crisp, and solid bass... Then I turned it up, and it got louder and louder. This thing really thumped! I was amazed, and cranked it up to see how loud it would go, and it got louder than I can handle. Made my wife come out of the house to see what was going on. Plenty of sound for when you are on the water with wind and engine noise. NICE!Turned on the bluetooth of my phone, linked them together, and BOOM, now I had my music playing.I have to say, I can't comment on it's longevity, but It worked great for the days I had it before the boat sold. New owner LOVED the stereo, had it playing for the whole test ride. I'm sure that helped sell the boat. Well worth the investment!
