The vocals, guitars, and rhythm section all blend well to create a cool tempo d rocker. Gone shows a bit more of the influences within the bands members, but this is not your typical Southern fried rock. This track has some quirks and sounds that come from below the Mason-Dixon line, but the attitude is all hard rock. 50 Miles To Richmond is the token ballad-like track on the disc that shows a more introspective and softer side of the band without getting too mushy or straying too far from the path the band is forging for itself. Down In Flames goes back to the Southern sound and style of Gone, but without the harder edge. The drums and bass anchor the track while the vocals carry the chorus. The bonus is the different guitar solos and riffs peppered throughout the track.
