This bowl has really helped slow feedings down for our fur baby. Unlike many others who may have purchased this bowl for their large breeds, we actually purchased it for our Shih Tzu so that we could have plenty of extra space to spread out his food & limit his need to wolf it down.Before this bowl, he would eat so quickly that he'd usually choke on his food & at times even regurgitate it afterwards. We've had this bowl for about a month now and he hasn't experienced any of those issues. Quite honestly, I'm sure he despises this bowl, but the info we read about the potential risks of 'fast-eating' scared us enough to intervene. We love him and want him around for years to come. Thirds was a great purchase.My dog eats as much and as fast as “caninely”possible and then looks for more. LolThis dish definitely slows him down and he seems satisfied once it is empty even though I have not changed the amount of food that I give him.We like that it actually slowed Charlie's eating down. But he's a 100 pound Dutch Shepherd so the bowl would get filled each time we fed him (2X a day) and the sides aren't any taller than the vanes in the middle, so food goes over the side and makes a mess. The rubber feet don't keep it from moving on solid floors, but will on carpet (we have 4 dogs and 3 cats so no carpet) or maybe a feeding mat. Overall it's a good product at a good price. We ended up using it for our 30 pound Australian Cattle Dog mix puppy and it works great for her.Bowl has rubber feet for better grip but it still moves around for my dog. It does slow him down significantly though which is what it is supposed to do.I have a 95 lbs King German Shepherd named Frank, which is one of the largest breeds of shepherds. This dish was way too small for him.Our puppy was vacuuming up food almost as fast as we can can set it down. This bowl is shallow enough a puppy can use it, but slowed his eating down from sucking it up in five minutes to a frantic hoovering of kibble over about 20 minutes (I timed it out of curiosity).It slows my dog down while eating. That’s what I was hoping for.It’s not a miracle product that will change your life.If you want your dog to eat a bit slower, for whatever reason, go ahead and get this bowl.It does slide a lot so you may need to hunt it down after they eat.My large lab was eating so fast he was throwing up within 15 minutes after, none of his food digested! Purchased this product and it is a Life saver! Have used it now for over 2 months every day, it slows him down enough that he is not gotten sick or thrown up once!
