I've now read and enjoyed all of Ford's Leo Waterman mysteries. He writes with a great sense of humor, his characters are perfectly cast and his stories are both entertaining and easy to read. For anyone living in, or who has lived in Seattle (I haven't and don't) his in depth knowledge of the area is a definite plus so far as making the novels interesting.This series of novels may not be great literature or intellectually challenging, but they are great reads and real entertainment. I suspect too that whomever the real author is he chuckles a bit and enjoys the anonymity that comes from the pseudonym GM Ford. Whoever heard of "GM Ford"!?If you like Parker's Spenser series you'll probably like Ford's Waterman series.
