So often I've looked at slow cooker recipe books to find they're packed with recipes I'd never use in a slow cooker, but this book is a brilliant basic, with a good intro discussing everything from basics to food safety and family cooking. There's a review of the subjects covered under 'Contents' and this includes soups, home cooking, entertaining and 'hot and spicy'.All the recipes I've cooked have been a huge success and I've used it for slow-roasting joints, to cooking lovely puds, as well as some very tasty soups. Last night I cooked 'Arroz con Pollo' for a change and it was gorgeous (definitley got the thumbs up from hubby too!). So far I've not had a disappointing result.Don't bother with the books that come with your slow cooker, this is brilliant value for a book that you'll use constantly.
