Amazon.com No one conveyed the inherent conflict between the secular and spiritual worlds more articulately than Ira and Charlie Louvin. It makes sense, then, that the Country Music Foundation would separate the gospels from the seculars on this record rather than sequence it chronologically. Ten of the 14 cuts are taken from Opry's "Prince Albert Show" (in front of a thrilled audience), while the remaining four come from a 1951 date for Danville, Virginia's WDVA radio. All of them feature the purest of harmonies, and whether celebratory or cautionary, they're always compelling and watertight. --Marc Greilsamer
