Body MeÃâ'¬a is the NYC-based quartet made up of Greg Fox (drums), Sasha Frere-Jones (guitar), Melvin Gibbs (bass), and Grey McMurray (guitar) ââ'¬â' a team of musicians who've each built catalogs of projects falling on the axes of experimental music, jazz / fusion, and ââ'¬Å'rockââ'¬Â of all flavors. Their first full-length album The Work Is Slow quietly emerged in a digital edition in December, 2020, and Hausu Mountain is honored to release its first physical editions. The quartetââ'¬â'¢s music sits under the wide umbrella of instrumental rock, built on fluid structures of extended repetition, propulsive rhythmic interplay, and texture-focused performance.
